A properly planned, installed and maintained HVAC system should have a working life of 10-20 years provided that consumable parts are regularly exchanged and any service and cleaning work is carried out according to manufacturer instructions. The general working life of a typical HVAC system that is not regularly maintained by manufacturer certified engineers is 7-10 years.

Relative Humidity is the amount of water vapour in air expressed as a percentage of the amount needed for saturation at the same temperature. In an indoor environment the optimum is 35% relative humidity. Above 40% relative humidity can lead to condensation forming.

The warranty period can vary with manufacturer and will require registration after commissioning and handover of the system with them. The typical warranty can range from 1-3 or 5-10 years.
