The Synchronised Power & Energy Solutions team of energy consultants and power engineers works closely with our electrical contracting team to design, delivery and maintenance electrical installations and systems including uninterruptible power supplies, standby generators and energy storage systems. Our team’s experience covers a wide range of buildings ranging from general commercial to more specialised industrial and datacentre operators.
What sets us apart is our unified approach to electrical works which provides many benefits for our clients including:
We provide a full ‘turn-key’ installation package that includes project management, electrical works, commissioning and handover. All our team members are specialists in their field and certified through national associations and where necessary manufacturer training programs.
Synchronised Power provides a comprehensive service for UPS installations through our account management and project management teams. Our team can undertake the role of the main contractor on a site or work as a sub-contractor. We can provide our complete service as a ‘turn-key’ package or individual services as required.
A typical project will run through the following process to achieve a successful on time and to budget installation:
The above approach is typical of that required for a large UPS installation, but aspects may also be useful for a smaller uninterruptible power supply installation. Systems below 2kVA tend to be ‘plug-and-play’ but could need a fused spur if hardwired. Systems above 3kVA may use a 16A Commando socket (blue) or be hardwired. The Synchronised Power team can provide the necessary electrical works, on-site connections, placement (into racks) and commission and handover as required.
Synchronised Power works with time-served generator engineers within our nationwide partner network. These individuals have a wealth of generator and manufacturer-specific knowledge, access to service tools and spare parts.
Our generator engineering team can provide installation services, maintenance service and refuelling to make sure that your generating set is always available and ready to pick up its load during a power outage.
In addition to providing ‘turn-key’ packages clients can choose any of our uninterruptible power supply or local energy storage system related services for a one-off purchase. These services include:
Please let us know if you need a price for one of these services. We price out based on location of the site to our nearest service engineer and the time of day required for the visit which could be during normal working hours, out-of-hours or a weekend or bank holiday.
Our power engineers are experienced in UPS systems from less than 10kVA single phase to three phase parallel UPS up to 1000kVA or more.
We have extended the back-up experience of our power engineers to cover local energy storage systems (LES). There are great similarities between a UPS system and an LES device in that both charge a battery set and use the stored energy. The difference being one between standby power and regular battery cycling. The Synchronised Power team provides installation and maintenance contract services for energy storage systems on request.
Please contact the Synchronised Power & Energy Solutions installers team regarding your UPS installation project. We can provide a site survey, proposal including finance and payback calculations, installation and maintenance contracts for North Wales’s domestic, commercial and industrial installations. We have installer engineers across North Wales covering Anglesey (Bangor depot), Clwyd, Conwy (Llandudno depot), Denbighshire (Prestatyn depot), Flintshire (Mold depot), Gwynedd and Wrexham borough counties.
