FAQs - Industrial Plant Power Projects

Industrial manufacturing and power plant protection and energy efficient operation.

SCADA stands for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition and is a control system architecture that uses computers, servers, network communications, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) controllers and graphical user interfaces to delivery high-level supervisory management information from industrial and utility processes, plant and machinery.

Industry 4.0 refers to the current trend for automation and data exchange in industrial manufacturing technologies. It includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things (IoT), cloud computing and cognitive computing, leading to what is termed a ‘smart factory’.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is the application of Internet of Things (IoT) connection, monitoring and management systems in an industrial setting. The Industrial Internet of Things is also referred to as the Industrial Internet and the benefits include: energy efficiency improvements, cost reductions, productivity improvements, improved quality assurance and faster information for supply chain and manufacturing process control.
